Exhibit:                       Practice Sheets for band into practice for high school

Benchmark:                Personal Management

Skill:                            (P110) Accept new and changing responsibilities

In middle school we were forced to practice and we did not have a choice, but to be responsible.  In high school everything changed. We no longer had practice sheets; we had to practice on our own accord.  A lot of people struggled with performing as well as they could because they were no longer motivated to practice.  I continued to practice except this time it was even more important because our music was much harder.

Middle school was a time of being forced to practice and honestly we did not have any responsibility because our hands were always forced.  We had to turn in practice sheets every week no matter what.  Then we hit high school, where it was up to us to practice, because we no longer were forced to.  We now needed the practice though.  In middle school you did not have to be very good, but when you got to high school it was expected.  I had to be responsible and practice so that I could achieve the high standards put down for me.  I P110) accepted new and changing responsibilities, in stride; I inspired myself to practice and made sure I was the best I could be.

Taking on new challenges is something we all must do.  If we take it in stride we can accomplish anything.  As an Art Director there is no telling what I will have to do day to day and I must always be ready for a new responsibility.  Right now I am being flooded with new responsibilities and I will take each head on.  I can accomplish anything if I work at it and inspire myself.
