Skills: TC107: Understand and contribute to the mission and goals of the team and TC108: Show commitment to the team

Theatre became the highlight of my day and I would have done just about anything for the people I was working with, they are great people and together we put on amazing performances.  I knew exactly what I needed to do for us to complete our goals and I always worked very hard to do my best.  I dedicated large portions of my time to the plays and I always there for anyone if they needed help including my peers and those leading me.  The plays became a healthy obsession for me and I gave my heart and soul and everything else to it.

Theatre meant more to me than anything really had until then and that made me do all I could for it.  Our main goal was not to put on a good high school play our goal was to put on an amazing production.  Realizing this allowed me to (TC107) Understand and contribute to the mission and goals of the team.  Every night that we had play I was always punctual and I would always do whatever I could to make sure everything went smoothly.  Whether that was me learning my lines down to the last period or helping someone remember where and when they need to go somewhere on stage.  Every time I got up on stage I wanted to make my performance be the best it could and so I put my heart and soul out there every single time no matter if I was sick, sad or just plain old done with everything.  One example I remember clearly was in the play Stardust I had a part where I danced around the stage and then ended up falling on the on ground.  After weeks of falling on the same place over and over again it was incredibly sore.  I was sore to the point where it hurt to lay on that side of my body, but no matter how many times we went over that seen I gave it my all and fell just the same because I knew I could not just stop giving it my all because it was hard.  My team needed one hundred percent all the time and I gave it to them.  In doing this I not only showed how much I contribute to the team but I also (TC108) Showed commitment to the team.  I did this in many ways however, I would study lines with anyone who needed the practice and I was always there to lend advice to someone who was doing something for the first time.  There were always hard and stressful times in Theatre and everyone needed to a pep-talk or two from time to time.  I would always be there for each and every one of them because to me they were not just my team, but they were my family and I owe a lot to each and every one of them so I stayed by them no matter what.

We may think we are not important in the small roles we play but that’s not true we all have things to contribute and they are important to the whole.  As long as we work and stick to together we accomplish anything.  An art director works late nights and long hours because he wants everything to be perfect.  He has to stick with everything the whole way and add things in where he sees fit or the things he creates will not be anything.  He must dedicate a lot to his profession and work with his team to create the best product possible.  My teams right now are some of the most important things to me because all I want is for them to succeed and I know we have a good chance if I stick by them and give them my all.
