Benchmark:               Number one all about me

Skill:                           Responsibility and Animal Care

For the first few years of my life I really did not have a lot of pets, but after my litter brother was born we got a whole bunch.  My little brother has Autism and as a sort of therapy we got a number of pets for him to interact with, but since he was so young I had to take care of them and that was my first taste of responsibility.  I learned that I had to make sure they had everything they needed every day, while also learning what each animal needed individually.

Right now we have a lot of animals such as: a turtle, a snake, a bearded dragon, ten chickens, six cats, a dog, two goats, and a pig.  Each one of these animals needs its own special care and it was my job for a long time to make sure they had it.  I had to take food and water to the chickens, goats and pig everyday as soon as I woke up, I had to collect eggs and make sure everything was alright before I could do anything for myself.  Now I do that for a plethora of animals, I learned so much responsibility and dedication along with the exact care for each animal.  At a young age it was hard to understand why I had to go and feed them before I at, but now it is just second nature to put others before myself.  That has made me a lot of close friends and has allowed me to be extremely successful in school.

Right now in my life I am one of the most responsible people you will ever meet, if you ask me to do something I will do it in a heartbeat I have no problem doing anything for someone.  That being said the responsibility I learned allows me to do things without being told.  This is a very important skill to employers, an air of responsibility and dedication will make me a very attractive employee to have.  My knowledge of the job and my understanding that it must be done on time and done well will allow me to be very successful in my job.
